Our new hall, library and computer lab continue to get plenty of use. Our school hall has become a true community facility. During school hours, assemblies, physical education lessons, Presentation Ceremonies, class games and band performances are held in the hall. Outside of hours, PCYC outside School Hours Care, Zumba classes, martial arts lessons, discos, and community functions bring members of our community into our school.
The students enjoy library lessons with our new teacher librarian, Ms Kaley Lehane. Ms Lehane is also our English as a Second Language Teacher and has created a dedicated space for these lessons in the library. We have many new books and resources for student and teacher use and regular displays featuring special days and events are a source of interest for all. The computer lab is probably the most popular learning space in our school as students access on-line learning tools to research and experience interactive learning.
Our pool area is sparkling now since the pool was repainted and repaired and the change rooms and canteen refurbished. All of our buildings will soon have fresh paint internally and externally and the new carpet in A and D blocks has improved the learning environment for our students and teachers. Our latest project is the upgrade of our front entrance. We are looking forward to a new sign, fencing, landscaped gardens, seating and pathways - the perfect welcome to visitors to our school.
