Salisbury State School has a Bring Your Own Device program (BYOD) for Years 4 - 6. The BYOD program is an initiative that allows students to bring their own personal technology device to school and use it for educational purposes under the direction of their teacher.
Our school has implemented the Bring Your Own device technical service called BYOxLink. To support this, Salisbury State School uses Education Queensland's provided mobile device management (MDM) tool, Microsoft Intune. Intune allows our school to distribute a wireless network profile and curriculum related applications to our students' BYO devices.
School staff can only access school information through Intune and cannot:
- see personal information
- monitor what happens on the device
- track or locate the device
- see information on installed personal applications (other than school applications)
- uninstall applications, including personal ones.
BYOxLink enables students and parents to install the School Wi-Fi (EQNET) and apps onto their devices from home streamlining the set-up process so students and their devices are ready for learning before coming to school. This will make student access to the school's Wi-Fi faster, safer and more efficient.

You will find, on the right of this webpage, "How to…" guides and the parent fact sheet regarding InTune. Please ensure the InTune Parent Fact Sheet and the iPad Program Participartion Agreement are read, along with the iPad Setup Guide for your child's iPad before their first day of school.
