Pre-Prep Program - Little Salisbury Serpents
Our Little Salisbury Serpents Pre-Prep Program runs during Terms 3 and 4, every Wednesday from 9:00am–11:00am.
This exciting program gives children a gentle and positive introduction to school life, helping them feel confident, comfortable, and connected before their first day of Prep. Each week, our Little Serpents enjoy learning in their own dedicated Pre-Prep classroom and exploring the Junior Playground, experiencing what school is all about in a fun and supportive environment.
With families remaining on-site, children feel safe as they begin building relationships with teachers and other children, while becoming familiar with school routines and surroundings. At the same time, parents and carers are invited to attend helpful sessions focused on preparing their child for a successful start to school.
In addition to our Pre-Prep program, we host four Open Days throughout the year, where future families can tour our school, visit Prep classrooms, and take part in a range of engaging activities. All dates are shared on our school Facebook page—we encourage you to follow along to stay up to date with important information and upcoming events.
How will the Pre-Prep program support my child?
Our program, led by our experienced Prep teachers, is designed to give children a confident start to their schooling journey. It helps to:
- Support a smooth and successful transition into school and classroom environments
- Provide opportunities to participate in engaging, hands-on classroom activities
- Build familiarity with teachers, routines, and daily school life
- Develop important skills needed for starting school
- Encourage friendships and a sense of belonging
- Offer guidance and support for parents and carers
